There are many ways to help out the Hood UMC Youth Group. You can help us with your time....
Currently the Youth Group is being run by 3 volunteers.
Ashley Pearce, Will Glenn, and Ashleigh Bentz.
3 Wonderful people who have full time jobs during the week and take part in other church volunteer activities as well. We put in roughly 15-20 hours monthly to give your kids the best experience and to help them grow their relationship with God.
A way to help us out is to donate your time. The Youth Group is slowly growing in size, and we are always in need of chaperones. It is our best interest/ goal for us to get 1-2 volunteers to chaperone once in a month. No long term commitment, or guilt factor. We just need a break once in a while. The Youth Group is always needing supplies for events and improving quality of life for our youth room. Previously, our old youth build was sold off. Within it, a lot of our stuff had to be sold off/ donated/ trashed in the process. On our mission trip in 2024, we repainted the new youth room and are preparing to give it new life. Currently we are needing the following supplies:
(Used) Couches in chairs for the youth room; Reason: to sit in
(Gently Used) Bean bags; Reason for the Youth's Prayer room
(Gently Used/ New) Android and IPhone Chargers; Reason: to create a docking station for our little distractions we call phones
(Used) Old t-shirts; Reason: to be cut up and used in a recycling project
You can help us by participating....
Throughout the year the Youth will be putting on fundraisers for mission trips and camps. We ask that if you find interest in these events, please participate and appreciate the hard work the kids are putting into their faith journey. We will be discussing out next fundraiser on Oct 16th 2023. Currently we have no details for this fundraiser outside of the date.
Our next fundraiser will be on Saturday April 27th 9:40am-10:40am.
